Mega Hippo gets taken through it’s paces at Blacktown Hospital
This week All Preparation Equipment supplied a Portamix Hippo Mixing station to the flooring contractors working on Stage 2 of Blacktown Hospital.
Installing Sikafloor Level Top the guys used the Portamix Mega Hippo to level the floors perfect ready for the Vinyl Layers to do their job! Note, the new safety feature of with the Dust Cover Lid and hinged front to prevent airborne dust while emptying the bags into the drum.

Floor Levelling ,Floor topping and floor screeding products can be mixed in the Portamix Mega Hippo. Some products also containing smaller sand or stone products can be mixed, and poured through the Portamix Mega Hippo Mixing station.
With a larger drum Capacity the Portamix Mega Hippo Mixing Station stands itself above it’s competitor mixing stations which mostly have a smaller capacity less than 6x20kg bags.
The Portamix mixer also allows up to a 6x 20kg bag mix at a time.
Flexible Drum Liner
The black flexible replacement drum liner is an excellent way to ensure high efficiently and turnover in your batches. In the occasion where you product may set and go hard in the base of the buckets’ drum the Flexible Replacement Liner gives you the ability to remove it, bend it or scrape it out and start again.
There is no damage to the canister itself through this process as the liner sits pretty tight in against the canister.
